New route for the Al Adaid Desert Challenge 2018
The remote desert is not only Challenge for competitors, but also for the organizers. Growth of the event, addition of running to the event and logistical challenges have contributed that we looked into other route options. With our new event partner, Doha Bus, we have prepared completely new second part of the race. Same in distance of 38,5 km for cycling like last year, but with one more dune and more “semi hard” patches, the route will probably be more challenging than last year. We will have 7 water stations with Rayyan water and new finish line which is located in Doha Bus camp, which will undoubtedly be great addition to the event. The finish is much closer to Sealine, so transport after the finish will be done two or three times.
The new running event will be 26,7 km long and feature 4 dunes. First and last third of the route will be same as cycling one. We are excited on the interest and number of registered runners for our very first running event. It looks like it’s going to be interesting battle.
